All-New Capstone Grade Elevates 2022 Toyota Tundra to New Heights
Meet the 2022 Toyota Tundra
Excitement surrounding the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra is already at an all-time high. And now there’s a new entry into the upper echelon of the full-size truck segment. The all-new Toyota Tundra Capstone offers truck owners looking to elevate their driving experience a host of premium features and enhancements. The Capstone model is expected to arrive in dealerships this spring.
The latest addition to the Tundra lineup effortlessly combines luxury, comfort and power in an extraordinarily loaded package. Its unique grille features a color-coordinated outer frame and chrome interior grille, complemented by subtle, eye-catching chrome mirror caps. The Capstone boasts the largest wheels ever offered on a Tundra, thanks in large part to the standard 22-inch chrome wheels. It also features “Tundra” chrome inserts on the tailgate and chrome trim.
Power & Performance
The Capstone is powered by the spectacular new i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, which produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. The i-FORCE MAX is based on a twin-turbocharged V6 engine and features a unique motor-generator located in the clutch housing between the engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission, designed to deliver maximum performance and efficiency.
Capstone 2022 Body Configuration
In addition to providing standard power running boards for easy entry and exit, Toyota Tundra Capstone also offers a standard power running board in the truck bed. The Tundra’s new multi-link rear suspension system is wonderfully complemented by the Capstone’s optional adaptive variable suspension (AVS) and height-adjustable rear air suspension.
The Capstone 2022 class will be offered in one body configuration – CrewMax with a 5.5-foot bed. Available colors include Magnetic Gray Metallic, Celestial Silver, Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, Blue Print and Supersonic Red.
Introducing Panoramic View Monitor
The view around this impressive truck is also enhanced, thanks to the Tundra’s plethora of cameras, displaying multiple exterior angles that are visible from the optional 14-inch touchscreen or standard digital display mirror. Drivers pulling into a parking spot or towing a trailer will appreciate the panoramic view monitor, which displays a top-down view of the truck. This feature is ideal for those looking to maneuver the Tundra in tight spaces.
Toyota Tundra Capstone Towing Technology
Toyota’s renowned Towing Technology Package is standard on the Toyota Tundra Capstone and includes the Trailer Rear Guidance System, which aids in overall trailer maneuvering. The Capstone also features Straight Path Assist, which is designed to keep your truck and trailer in a straight line while backing up.
New Pricing
Pricing for the Capstone has not yet been announced, but many experts estimate that it will be marketed at a starting price of around $60,000. With its ultra-luxurious features and beautiful aesthetics, the Toyota Tundra Capstone is sure to raise the profile of the already renowned Tundra and propel the model line into a whole new stratosphere of quality.
